The Department of Pediatrics offers a wide range of comprehensive services, from general pediatrics to specialty services. Hartford HealthCare is proud to employ expert pediatric physicians, including pediatricians, pediatric hospitalists, neonatologists, medical specialists, pediatric nurses, technicians and support staff and more. Together, they treat children with a wide variety of illnesses and conditions, and ensure the safety and well-being of your child, both on a health level and emotional level. It is our goal to respect the needs of your child and your concerns as their parents.

Parents are important members of our care team. As part of our commitment to family-centered care, staff on the Pediatrics unit invite parents or guardians to participate in medical rounds discussions and decisions about their child's care. We also provide cots for parents or guardians to stay with their child on Pediatrics, and more flexible visiting hours.
