Kasia Wieczorek, a British citizen, returned to Hartford Hospital to thank the medical team for treating her following a ruptured brain aneurysm that threatened her life six months ago.
Wieczorek, 34, says it started as a headache that quickly became more serious.
“I couldn’t sleep, I couldn’t lay down , I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t sit down,” she says. “It was awful.”
Doctors clipped he aneurysm, yet she had suffered brain trauma that required speech therapy. “I couldn’t say my name,” she says. “I couldn’t say hello.”
